What is Aquaphor?
Aquaphor is not a drug, but a brand of skincare products that are fragrance-free and preservative-free. They are generally good for sensitive skin. The most common Aquaphor products are ointments for chapped or severely dry skin. Aquaphor products contain petrolatum (which is obtained from petroleum), pathenol (a form of vitamin B), glycerin (which hydrates skin) and bisbolol (derived from chamomile and has anti-inflammatory and soothing properties).
How do I use Aquaphor?
The way you apply Aquaphor will depend on which product you purchase. Most ointments should be applied to clean, dry skin and can be applied as many times as needed.
