What is Calcitonin-Salmon?

How do I use Calcitonin?
Calcitonin-Salmon comes as a solution that is stored in vials, and it is injected either into the muscle or under the skin using the disposable syringes that come with your medication. This drug is typically prescribed to be used 1 time per day or 1 time every other day. Follow your doctor’s instructions for using this medication. This medication is stored in the refrigerator. How do I store Calcitonin-Salmon?
Store Calcitonin-Salmon injections in the container in which it came, and keep it in the refrigerator. Do not freeze this medicine. Do not shake the vials. Do not use this medication if it has been outside of the refrigerator for more than 24 hours. Keep this medication and the syringes you use to administer this medication in a clean, dry place. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Dispose of any used or empty syringes and vials that were used in the administering of this medication.
