• What

Cytra-2 contains citric acid and sodium citrate in a liquid formulation. These active ingredients are alkalinizing agents, meaning they can make your urine and blood more alkaline and less acidic. When your urine is less acidic, it can help remove uric acid from the kidneys, which prevents gout and certain types of kidney stones. Cytra-2 also helps prevent metabolic acidosis (a condition that occurs when the body produces too much acid) in people with kidney problems.

Stop taking Cytra-2 and call your doctor right away if you experience severe or persistent diarrhea, bloody, tarry, or black stools; nervousness or agitation, shallow breathing, unusual weakness, an irregular heart rate, dizziness, unusual mood changes, muscle pain or twitching, or tingling, swelling, or numbness in your hands or feet.

• Missed Dosage

If you remember the dose within two hours of the time you would normally take it, go ahead and take the dose. If more than two hours have passed since you were supposed to take a dose, skip it and take your next dose at the regular time. Don’t double your dose to catch up.
