How do I use erythromycin and benzoyl peroxide?

 

Wash hands before applying medication. Clean and dry the site of application as well. Most patients will apply the drug erythromycin and benzoyl peroxide twice daily (once in the morning and once in the evening) to areas affected by acne. Keep this medicine out of your eyes, mouth, nose, and lips, and away from burned, dry, chapped, irritated, or broken skin.

Before using erythromycin and benzoyl peroxide, tell your doctor if:

 

  • You are allergic to benzoyl peroxide

  • You are allergic to erythromycin

  • You are pregnant, nursing, or planning to become pregnant

  • You have any other existing skin conditions

  • You have had an allergic reaction to an over-the-counter acne medication
