What is Nexa Select?
Nexa Select is a pre- and postnatal multivitamin and mineral supplement in a soft gel capsule, prescribed to help maintain healthy nutritional levels in pregnant and nursing women. Each capsule contains recommended amounts of Vitamins B6, C, D3, and E, folic acid, iron, calcium, docusate sodium, and the omega-3 fatty acid DHA (docosahexaenoic acid derived from algal oil).
How do I take Nexa Select?
Nexa Select is administered as a capsule that is taken orally, once a day, with water; discuss taking this medication with food with your doctor. Do not take this medication with dairy products. If you use antacids, discuss with your doctor the timing of taking them.
Before taking Nexa Select, tell your doctor if:
- You are allergic to any vitamins or minerals, or any of the ingredients in Nexa Select
- You are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or are nursing a child

Some patients have reported symptoms of an allergic reaction after taking Nexa Select; if these appear, seek medical help immediately. Other severe side effects that require medical attention include bloody, black, or tarry stools, or stomach cramping or pain.
What if I forget to take a dose of Nexa Select?
If you forget to take Nexa Select at the scheduled time, take it as soon as you remember and are able. However, if it is almost time for the next capsule, skip the missed one and return to the original schedule. Do not increase the number you take or change the schedule to make up for one that was missed.
How do I store Nexa Select?
