Prefera Ob One Information:

What is Prefera OB-One?

Prefera OB-One is a vitamin supplement specially formulated with essential vitamins and minerals for health and growth in babies and mothers during pregnancy. It contains a vitamin complex that may be difficult for some mothers to receive normally in their diet. It also contains minerals that fall into short supply when mothers begin sharing nutrition with their children during pregnancy.

How do I take Prefera OB-One?

Take tablets with a full glass of water, in dosages directed by a doctor. Be sure to follow all instructions written or printed on the label. Use only the amount listed and do not take the vitamins for longer than is recommended. Do not break, crush, or chew tablets. Try to stay on a regular schedule without missing doses.

Before taking Prefera OB-One, tell your doctor if:

  • You plan to breastfeed
  • You have anemia
  • You have any other existing medical conditions
  • You have food or medicine allergies

What are the possible side effects of taking Prefera OB-One?

Use of Prefera OB-One may cause some mild side effects such as upset stomach, headache, or unusual or unpleasant taste. Intake of minerals, especially in large doses, may cause side effects such as tooth staining, increased urination, confusion, muscle weakness, stomach bleeding, uneven heart rate, or a limp feeling. Seek help immediately if you see signs of an allergic reaction.

What if I forget to take a dose of Prefera OB-One?

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for your next dose, skip the dose that you missed and return to a normal schedule. Do not take extra vitamins to make up for a missed dose.

How do I store Prefera OB-One?

Store at room temperature and away from moisture and heat. Prenatal vitamins should be kept in their original container. Glass containers may compromise the efficacy of the vitamin complex. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

What happens if I overdose on Prefera OB-One?

Vitamin or mineral overdose can cause death to an unborn baby. Seek medical attention as soon as possible or call the Poison Control Center at 1-800-222-1222 if you experience loss of appetite, stomach pain, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, hair loss, peeling skin, tingling in the face, menstrual period changes, weight loss, severe headache, muscle pain, joint pain, severe back pain, bloody urine, pale skin, bruising, or bleeding.

Warnings

Avoid taking any other multivitamin product while taking prenatal multivitamins. Avoid salt substitutes to prevent a potassium overdose. Do not take Prefera OB-One with dairy products, calcium supplements, or antacids that also have calcium. Calcium makes absorption of prenatal vitamin ingredients more difficult for the body.
