Promiseb Information:

What is Promiseb?

The Promiseb drug is an anti-seborrheic topical medication. When the Promiseb cream is applied to areas of the skin affected by seborrheic dermatitis, it can relieve the scaling and flaking caused by this condition. It works by stopping fungal growth and reducing skin cell production. It is a steroid- and fragrance-free product.

How do I take Promiseb?

Apply a thin layer of Promiseb to any areas of skin affected by seborrheic dermatitis—this drug has been approved for use on any external area of the body. Gently massage the cream into your skin and wash your hands when you’re done with the application. Follow any other instructions your health care provider gives you, and refer to the prescription label or talk to your pharmacist if you have any additional questions.

Before taking Promiseb, tell your doctor if:

  • You are allergic to any of the ingredients in Promiseb (ask your health care provider to see a list of ingredients)
  • You have a nut or nut oil allergy
  • You are using any other prescription or non-prescription medications, including any other topical treatments
  • You have experienced skin sensitivity when using other topical treatments
  • You are breastfeeding, pregnant, or may become pregnant

What are the possible side effects of taking Promiseb?

Some of the most common side effects of the Promiseb drug are mild itching, stinging, or burning. These side effects may go away on their own after a short amount of time, but if they persist or worsen, talk to your doctor. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience symptoms of a severe allergic reaction, or if you have severe or persistent burning, itching, stinging, or drying of the skin.

What if I forget to take a dose of Promiseb?

Apply a missed dose of Promiseb as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for another application. If this is the case, continue with your normal application schedule. Do not double the amount of cream you normally use to catch up.

How do I store Promiseb?

Completely seal your tube of Promiseb cream after every use. Store it at room temperature (between 68 and 77 degrees), away from light and moisture. Keep the Promiseb drug out of reach of children and pets. If you are no longer using this medication or it has expired, talk to your pharmacist about how to safely dispose of it.

What happens if I overdose on Promiseb?

You are unlikely to overdose on Promiseb when using it as a topical medication, but it can be potentially harmful if you or someone in your household swallows any of this drug. If this happens, contact Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222, or seek emergency medical attention if someone is exhibiting symptoms of an overdose.

Warnings

The Promiseb drug should only be applied to areas of the body affected by seborrheic dermatitis. Do not cover large areas of your body in this cream without talking to your doctor first. Avoid getting Promiseb in your eyes, nose, or mouth. If you do get it in any of these areas, immediately rinse it off with cool water.
