Silver Sulfadiazine a sulfa drug that comes as an antibacterial cream and it is used to prevent and treat infections in patients with second- and third-degree burns.
Silver Sulfadiazine comes as a cream and it is typically prescribed to be applied to the treatment area 1 or 2 times daily. Consult with your doctor for a specific directions on how to use this drug.

Apply your missed dose of Silver Sulfadiazine as soon as your remember to take it, unless it is almost time for the next dose. If this is the case, skip the missed dose and resume the regular dose schedule. Do not apply 2 doses at once.
Store this medication tightly closed when not in use. Store it at room temperature and keep away from excess moisture and heat. Keep this medication out of reach of children and away from pets. Properly dispose of any expired or unnecessary medication.
In case of overdose, call Poison Control (1-800-222-1222) to find out what to do, or seek immediate medical attention.
