Thioridazine Information:

What is thioridazine?

The medicine in thioridazine is called a phenothiazine. Phenothiazine functions by balancing the volume of chemicals in the brain that dictate mood. For patients who suffer from an imbalance of brain chemistry, such as patients with schizophrenia, thioridazine can help improve mood and control psychosis. However, this medicine is only intended to treat patients for whom other medications have proven ineffective.

How do I take thioridazine?

Follow your physician’s instructions and the directions written on the label of your prescription. Read and understand all literature, including medication and patient information, that has been given to you by your doctor or pharmacist.
