What is ApexiCon?

ApexiCon is in the corticosteroid group of drugs. It is used to reduce the swelling and itching caused by some skin conditions. It works by making the body produce fewer of the chemicals that cause inflammation.

How do I take ApexiCon?

ApexiCon ointment is applied directly to the affected skin, usually one to three times a day (unless your doctor gives you different instructions). Gently rub a small amount of the ointment into the skin, and leave this area of skin uncovered (unless your doctor gives you permission to apply bandaging). If you have additional questions about how to use this topical medication, talk to your pharmacist or doctor.

What are the possible side effects of taking ApexiCon?

Some of the most common side effects of ApexiCon are skin irritation (including itching, dryness, or rash), acne, lightening of the skin, stretch marks, increased hair growth, and redness around hair follicles. If you have any of these side effects, they will most likely go away on their own; however, let your doctor know if your side effects are bothersome or last a long time. Stop using ApexiCon and contact your doctor immediately in the unlikely event that you have any of the following serious side effects: unusual vision changes, weight gain, an irregular heart rhythm, difficulty sleeping, excessive tiredness, severe skin irritation, or signs of a skin infection.

What if I forget to take a dose of ApexiCon?

It is best to use ApexiCon at the same time every day to help you remember. If you do forget, apply the dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for another dose, skip the missed one and resume your normal dosage schedule. Do not apply more of the ApexiCon ointment than you normally would.

How do I store ApexiCon?

Keep the cap tightly sealed on your tube of ApexiCon ointment when you are not applying this medication. Store ApexiCon at room temperature, away from moisture and bright light. Do not keep it anywhere that pets or children could easily access it. If your ointment has expired or you no longer need it, ask your pharmacist how to properly dispose of it.

• Overdose

What happens if I overdose on ApexiCon?

It is unlikely that you will overdose on ApexiCon when applying it to your skin as intended. However, applying large amounts to your skin may increase your risk of side effects, so never use more of the medication than you have been prescribed. Warnings

Only use ApexiCon on the areas of skin that your doctor has instructed you to treat. Keep the ointment away from your eyes, nose, and mouth, and rinse it out immediately if you get it in any of these places. Never apply this ointment to an open wound. Do not use ApexiCon under your arms, on your face, or around your groin area unless your doctor has given you permission to do so.

Brand Name
