Atacand Hct Information:

What is Atacand HCT?

Atacand HCT is a drug with the combined active ingredients hydrochlorothiazide and candesartan indicated for the treatment of high blood pressure. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that causes the body to flush water from its system, limiting the amount of salt that can be absorbed by the body. High amounts of salt help to create the conditions for hypertension to develop. Candesartan is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist that prevents blood vessels from narrowing, allowing free flow of blood to where it needs to go.

How do I take Atacand HCT?

Atacand HCT is a drug that should be taken with a full glass (8 ounces) of water. It may take up to 4 weeks for this medication to begin controlling blood pressure. What if I forget to take a dose of Atacand HCT?

Should you miss a dose of Atacand HCT, take the dose you missed as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose if you have nearly reached the time for your next scheduled dose. Do not take extra tablets to make up the missed dose.

How do I store Atacand HCT?
