Azor Information:

What is Azor?

Azor is an antihypertensive medication that contains both amlodipine and olmesartan. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker which means it works by blocking the entry of calcium into artery cell walls. This helps to reduce the contraction of arteries which allows blood to flow more freely. Olmesartan is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist which works by blocking these receptors and decreasing the secretion of vasopressin. This also causes blood vessels to widen.
