What is InnoPran XL?
InnoPran XL is a beta blocker. It improves blood circulation through the arteries and veins and may be prescribed to people who have uncontrolled hypertension (high blood pressure). It may also be prescribed to treat heart arrhythmia, tremors, chest pain, migraines, anxiety, or an overactive thyroid.
How do I take InnoPran XL?
InnoPran XL comes as a capsule that is usually taken once daily. Since your InnoPran XL dosage will be based on your condition and response to treatment, take your medication exactly as your doctor has prescribed. Swallow capsules whole; never chew or break them. You can take this medication with or without food, but be sure to take it the same way and at the same time every day. Keep all doctor’s appointments; you will need to have your blood pressure checked frequently.
Before taking InnoPran XL, tell your doctor if:
- You are allergic to this or any other medications
- You are taking any other prescription or non-prescription medicines or supplements
- You have asthma
- You have any heart problems, including sick sinus syndrome, AV block, congestive heart failure, or slow heart beats
- You have a breathing disorder, such as emphysema or bronchitis
- You have a muscle or nerve disorder

- You have a history of mental illness
- You have a thyroid disorder

- You are breastfeeding, pregnant, or trying to become pregnant
What are the possible side effects of taking InnoPran XL?
Dizziness, tiredness, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, and difficulty sleeping are relatively common side effects of InnoPran XL, especially in the first few weeks of treatment. Side effects will likely subside as your body adjusts to the medication, but if you have any adverse effects that persist or get worse, tell your doctor. Call your doctor right away if you have any unlikely but serious side effects, including severe lightheadedness, an irregular heart rhythm, difficulty breathing, sudden weight gain, sudden weakness or loss of coordination, unusual mood changes, hallucinations, upper stomach pain, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice, a severe skin reaction, or low blood sugar.
What if I forget to take a dose of InnoPran XL?
Because InnoPran XL is an extended release drug, you should not take two doses within 8 hours of each other. If you remember that you have missed a dose and you still have more than 8 hours until the next dose, go ahead and take the missed one. If you have fewer than 8 hours, skip the missed dose and take the next dose at the regular time.
How do I store InnoPran XL?
Store this medication in a dry space at room temperature. Do not leave it anywhere that children or pets in your home could reach. If you no longer need this medication and are unsure how to safely dispose of it, contact your pharmacist.
What happens if I overdose on InnoPran XL?
Overdosing on InnoPran XL can cause severe side effects, including severe dizziness, slow breathing, a slow heart rhythm, weakness, or fainting. If you believe that you or someone in your household has overdosed, get emergency medical attention right away.

Limit your alcohol consumption when taking InnoPran XL, since alcohol can exacerbate certain side effects.
