If a single pill is missed in the first seventeen days of a cycle, take the one missed as soon as you remember and then resume the regular schedule. Use alternative birth control measures for nine days. If a dose is skipped from the eighteenth to the twenty-fourth day, dispose of the rest of the pack and start a new one that same day. Use another form of birth control for nine days. If a dose is missed during the 25th to 28th day, take the one missed as soon as you remember and take the next one at its regular time. There is no need for backup measures. If two consecutive pills are missed, follow the instructions on the packaging and use alternative birth control measures for the time indicated.
