What is Orsythia?

Orsythia is an oral birth control medication that is taken once daily to prevent pregnancy. The active ingredients in Orsythia are ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel works by inhibiting the release of eggs during ovulation and by changing the cervical mucus and uterus lining to prevent sperm from inseminating. Take Orsythia on the first day of your menstrual cycle or the Sunday after it begins. It is very important to take Orsythia every single day with or without food to prevent pregnancy.

Before taking Orsythia, tell your doctor if:

  • You have high blood pressure
