What is potassium chloride?

Potassium chloride is a naturally-occurring mineral compound of potassium and chlorine. The body needs potassium to survive, and potassium chloride is often prescribed to treat potassium deficiencies or hypokalemia. Drop these tablets in a three or four ounce glass of cold water and allow them to dissolve completely.
