Pramosone Information:
What is Pramosone?
Pramosone is a combination of two medications, hydrocortisone and pramoxine, and is prescribed to treat the itching and discomfort that accompanies a number of minor skin conditions including allergic reactions, minor burns, eczema, and insect bites. It is also prescribed to treat the pain and discomfort of hemorrhoids. Hydrocortisone is a steroid that reduces inflammation; pramoxine is an anesthetic that blocks pain signals between nerves and the brain.
How do I take Pramosone?
Pramosone is a topical cream or lotion that is applied to the affected area. Before using, wash and dry your hands and the area being treated. Apply a small amount of the medication to the site and gently massage it in. If using this medication in the rectal area, use the applicator that was supplied. Do not cover the treated area. Wash your hands after applying Pramosone. Stop using this medication and contact your doctor if your condition does not improve, it worsens, or an infection develops.
