Cefuroxime axetil can be taken in tablet, capsule or oral suspension (liquid) form. Do not crush or chew the tablets/capsules. For adults the recommended dosage is 250mg-500mg twice daily. Certain conditions such as gonorrhea may require a single 1,000mg dose. Dosage is based on medical condition and response to therapy. Antibiotics work best when the amount of medicine in your body is kept at a constant level, because of this you should take this drug at evenly spaced intervals.
