Clindamycin Information:
What is clindamycin?
Clindamycin is a drug classified as a lincomycin antibiotic that works by stopping or slowing the growth of bacteria. It is prescribed to treat bacterial infections in the internal organs, lungs, blood, reproductive organs (female), and on the skin. The method and frequency of taking clindamycin depends on which formula you have been prescribed. If taking clindamycin capsules (pills), take them orally with a full glass of water according to the schedule developed by your doctor. If taking the liquid, shake the bottle thoroughly and use a measured spoon to administer. If using any of the topical products, refer to the instructions that accompanied them or ask your doctor. Continue to take the medications for the duration of the treatment, even if you are feeling better.
