Nephrocaps Information:
Nephrocaps is a vitamin and folic acid combination that supplements whatever vitamins and folic acid are ingested through diet. It can help improve the health of patients who suffer from poor nutrition due to diet, patients who have experienced kidney failure, those who are on dialysis, or people who have high levels of homocysteine in their blood.
Take Nephrocaps with or without food. Taking this medication with food may help reduce irritation of the stomach. Check the directions on your prescription label for instructions on how to take this medication for your specific condition.
Before taking Nephrocaps, tell your doctor if:
· You are pregnant, nursing, or planning to become pregnant
· You are taking any prescription medicine
· You are taking an herbal or dietary supplement
· You have allergies to medicine, food, or anything else
· You have anemia
· You are on dialysis
Side effects of taking Nephrocaps are mild and may include drowsiness, headache, nausea, or mild diarrhea. Talk to your doctor if you notice severe side effects such as a serious allergic reaction, a feeling swelling in the entire body, or numbness or tingling of the skin.
Take the dose of Nephrocaps that you may have missed as soon as possible. However, you should skip the dose you missed if it is nearly time for your next dose. Return to your regular dosing schedule as soon as possible. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
Store this drug at room temperature, between 59 and 86 degrees Fahrenheit (15 and 30 degrees Celsius). Keep it away from excess heat, moisture, and light. Do not allow it near children or pets.
In the event of a Nephrocaps overdose, you may experience some of the side effects listed as severe. Call Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222 or get yourself to the nearest emergency room as soon as possible.
Warnings
Nephrocaps can cause drowsiness, especially if taken with alcohol or other medicines. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how you react to it. Do not take large doses of vitamins while taking Nephrocaps. Call your doctor if you become pregnant while taking this medication, as it may affect the health of an unborn baby.
