What is Vasculera?
Vasculera contains diosmiplex which is a combination of diosmin and alka4-complex. Diosmin is a flavonoid that naturally occurs in citrus fruits. Alka4-complex is an antacid that is used to protect the diosmin from being broken down by stomach acid before it is absorbed into the blood stream. Vasculera works by helping to restore normal venous tone and capillary resistance.
How do I take Vasculera?
Your doctor will recommend the right dosage for your condition. The most common dosage is one pill daily at the same time every day. Vasculera pills may be taken with our without food. Some patients may have to take as many as two or three pills daily. Do not take more than what your doctor recommends.
Before taking Vasculera, tell your doctor if:
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You are allergic to any of the ingredients in Vasculera.
- You are taking any prescription or nonprescription medications, vitamins or herbal supplements, especially chlorzoxazone, diclofenac, blood thinners or anticoagulants and metronidazole.
What are the possible side effects of taking Vasculera?
Because Vasculera is a drug but a medical food, there are few reported side effects. The most common side effects patients have experienced include indigestion or mild gastrointestinal disturbances or mild headache. If you experience any severe or unusual side effects while taking Vasculera, report them to your doctor immediately.
What if I forget to take a dose of Vasculera?
If you miss a dose of Vasculera, take the missed dose as soon as you remember, but if it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue on your regular routine.
How do I store Vasculera?
Vasculera should be stored in its original container or carton to protect it from light and moisture. Store this medication at a temperature between 59 and 86 degrees Fahrenheit and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
What happens if I overdose on Vasculera?
Vasculera is classified as a Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) by the FDA and no serious side effects or overdoses have been reported. If you or someone you know has accidentally taken an excessive amount of Vasculera, consult the Poison Control Center at 1-800-222-1222.
Warnings
Diosmin inhibits platelet aggregation which can prevent blood from clotting with long-term use. There is a report of a hemorrhage in a patient that on prolonged diosmin therapy and just six weeks of warfarin treatment.
Brand Names
Vasculera is a new product and there are currently no generic versions and no other brand names on the market. Use our Vasculera coupons to help lower the pharmacy price.
