What is Vibramycin?

Vibramycin belongs to the tetracycline antibiotic class of medications. As an antibiotic, it stops the growth and spread of bacteria. How do I take Vibramycin?

The brand name Vibramycin drug is currently only available as a tablet, which is typically taken once or twice a day, depending on the prescription. It’s generally best to take this tablet with a full glass of water and some food. Follow the instructions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your pharmacist if you have any questions about how to take this medication.

If you are taking Vibramycin to prevent malaria, you should start your dosing schedule 1-2 days before traveling to an area with malaria risk.

Before taking Vibramycin, tell your doctor if:

What if I forget to take a dose of Vibramycin?

Take your missed dose of Vibramycin as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for another dose. You should never double your dosage to catch up, so skip the missed dose and continue with your normal dosage schedule if necessary.

How do I store Vibramycin?

Always store the Vibramycin drug at room temperature, away from light and moisture. Keep this product out of reach of pets and children.
