Solaraze Information:
What is Solaraze?
Solaraze is a brand name for a 3% concentration of the acetic acid diclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, in gel form. It is used to treat the pain and inflammation associated with actinic keratosis – warty overgrowths that can appear on areas of the skin exposed to the sun. It works by reducing the presence of pain and inflammation-inducing hormones.
How do I take Solaraze?
Solaraze is a topical gel applied to an affected area and massaged into the skin; the frequency will depend on the severity of the condition and the patient’s medical profile. Wash your hands before and after applying the Solaraze drug. Do not get dressed until ten minutes have elapsed after applying the medication. Wait at least an hour before showering.
Before taking Solaraze, tell your doctor if:

What are the possible side effects of taking Solaraze?
Some individuals have reported side effects after using the Solaraze. Mild complications include headache, pain in the muscles, back, or joints, or pain burning, itching, redness, irritation, swelling, numbness, or peeling skin at the application site. If any of these conditions persist or worsen, contact your healthcare provider.
Severe side effects requiring immediate medical attention include signs of an allergic reaction such as hives, rash, hoarseness, swelling of the face mouth, lips, throat, or tongue, or difficulty breathing or swallowing.
What if I forget to take a dose of Solaraze?

However, if it is almost time for the next application, skip the one missed and resume the regular regimen. Do not apply more than the prescribed number of doses in a 24-hour period. Do not increase the amount applied or change the dosing pattern to make up for a missed dose.
